Midnight Sun Photography Workshop
The Lofoten Islands are one of the most beautiful places on Earth. The fascinating beauty of the Lofoten Islands attracts many photographers from around the world. There are sharp mountain peaks, sandy beaches with turquoise water, fjords, real fishing huts.
Many photographers visit the Lofoten Islands in winter. But summer opens new opportunities for photographers. The Midnight Sun is one of them.
In summer we can shoot from above. There are no high mountains, and all of them are accessible to everyone with standard physical training.
Of course, the photos of the mountains are stunning. And we’ll be there at the best time of the day.

DESCRIPTION
There is no doubt that the Lofoten Islands are one of the most amazing places to travel and take pictures of mountains and sea scenery. The 3,000 foot mountain rises above numerous small islands connected by bridges.
The famous red fishing huts add interest and beautiful colour to the coastline. We hope that the Northern Lights will appear a little earlier, but anything can happen.
This eight-day workshop in the Lofoten Islands is a great opportunity to discover the stunning scenery of the Lofoten Islands during the colour change in the high autumn season, and if we are lucky we can also see snow on the tops.
One of the advantages of visiting the Lofoten Islands at this time of year is dusk. Long evenings with beautiful sunsets.
The day starts around 0-00 and the sun sets around 23-59. It’s a very long day. It’s the Midnight Sun.
Our choice of accommodation for this seminar is a beautifully built last year three-room “Roarbu” with a view of the ocean, a large living room and kitchen.
It is a self-service master class, although we can have lunch at a great local restaurant in Ramberg for a couple of nights, otherwise there is a supermarket nearby where you can cook food at the base.
The house is very conveniently located in the centre of all the places we will visit. This allows us to spend less time traveling and resting. There is also a barbecue area in the house.

WHAT IS THE TEMPERATURE IN LOFOTEN IN JULY
The Lofoten Islands are located above the Arctic Circle, north of Alaska and Iceland. It usually freezes at these latitudes, but the Gulf Stream flows along the coasts of the Lofoten Islands and mitigates the climate, bringing warmth and moisture to the entire northern Norwegian coast.
In fact, it is an unusually warm place!
It rains a lot here.
It is rarely colder than 8° C in summer. The daytime temperature is 8 – 16 ° C.
The weather changes quickly. The atmospheric fronts come and go. This weather has created really amazing conditions for taking pictures.
