«Venice is Moveable Feast»
Google would probably ban my blog for duplicating content if I said that Venice is the most romantic city in the world. But for me, Venice is the city of inspiration. I never tire of walking its streets and canals, standing on elegant bridges, and admiring the gondolas ridden by tourists.
This is my favorite city.
When I come to Venice, I always rent an apartment. This allows me to experience the atmosphere of the city more deeply. If you live like a Venetian, if you buy food in the Rialto market, if you cook octopus or shrimp in the kitchen, it is a special emotion.
You enter the entryway, with umbrellas in the corner on the first floor (you can’t imagine Venice without umbrellas), up the stairs, open the old wooden front door and enter a cozy apartment with wooden shutters on the windows. It is an incomparable pleasure.
Come here for a day? It’s better not to visit Venice at all than to be here for just one day. A lot of people say we were in Venice for just one day. What’s there to do longer?
Enjoy the city: we walked around the city, were in San Marco, saw the Doge’s Palace, sailed on gondolas, admired the bridges and narrow canals. And best of all, you’re bound to get lost in Venice. Those who spent only one day in the city stole their impressions of Venice.
As an artist, I am inspired by the spirit of the ancient city. I edit my photos in a vintage or monochrome style. I try to capture the spirit of the city, its history.
When I’m bored, I take a little stroll by the sea, my way is to Burano. Burano is a mini Venice. It is a colorful city, the walls of the houses are painted in all the colors of the rainbow. I think the people of Burano are very positive people.
Be sure to visit Venice and be sure to visit my gallery “Nocturne in Venice“. This is Venice in monochrome mode, Venice without people, the city where time has stopped.
